Hello Guillermo, Thanks for this SAKUNTALA. It's the second version of this work, re-elaborated by Alfano in 1950c for revival in Roma on 5th january 1952, conducted by G.Gavazzeni. This recording derives from Rai Roma broadcast on 15th february 1979, probably recorded in studio in January 1979, or november/december 1978, and released on MRF 196 (3 LPs). During preparations for a revival in Rome (April 2006), a copy of the original 1921 score (destroyed after bombing during World War II) was discovered in the Ricordi archives, and was performed in its original form under its original name, “La leggenda di Sakùntala”. Happy new Year, Maxime.
