This live recording was probably recorded by an audience member using a potable tape recorder brought to the Arena Verona. Audience noises are especially loud as a result. Scotto is in her best voice and her singing in Acts 2 & 3 are especially great but unfortunately at the moment when she launches into her most sublime singing of the evening - "Ah! Dite alla giovine", two audience members decided to whisper to each other, spoiling one's listening experience (I really feel like screaming at the two audience members, "it's Scotto's singing we want to hear, not your stupid whispers!"). Scotto, Bergonzi and Zanasi are all wonderful, but the audience noises and talkings are truly annoying. A really frustrating live recording. Nevertheless, thank you very much, Guillermo, for re-uploading it : )
