What a treat ! Thank you very much indeed for sharing this treasure. Virginia Zeani is without doubt one of the greatest sopranos of the 20th century. She was a pupil of Aureliano Pertile. Her Violetta (Traviata) is second to none: she sang more than 500 performances of this opera. Zeani had everything: flawless technique, stylish singing line, beautiful tone, stunning high notes produced without the least effort, restrained pathos. In addition to that, she was a real stunner. Her repertoire was almost limitless: from Haendel to Poulenc. Again, thank you for this great post !
