To each his own if he doesn't like this Nabucco. Admittedly the baritone doing Nabucco is nowhere near the best for that role; but the Orchestra, Coro, are great; the conducting is OK, and Koch's sound is the best I've heard yet on a recording from the Arena de Verona. The one recently with Franco Corelli at Verona, the sound was awful; but still enjoyable as a historic performance of Corelli.
And, again, Bravo Bravissima to El Humilde for the fantastic historical repertoire he puts on our plates. Thank you, thank you and thanks again! Bob
